goodbye

Locking eyes with you
is a sure way to stop time.
seeing your smirk
will always give me butterflies.
when I'm with you
i move on autopilot,
so i don't know why
i ran my fingers
through your hair
like you were mine,
and i don't know why
we acted like
we were alright,
but if i knew
that would be
our last interaction
maybe i would've
said goodbye.
