When you grow up you realize how human people are. So painfully human, beautifully human, disgustingly human, what does it mean to be human? How can you trust something that’s so contradicting? How can you trust something that tells lies? How can you look up to something that’s made so many mistakes and will surely make more? What is there to adore about a human? What is there to look up to? I don’t mean to be cruel I just have so many questions to ask because I was swindled into choosing a childhood hero only for that person to break my heart because they never fixed theirs. And while I’ve grown up to realize that humans go through many things why are we asking children if there’s another human being they’d want to be like? Why can’t we ask them more questions about themselves? Being human is hard enough, without wanting to be something or someone else.
